Chicken Drop

A 7x7 grid and high volatility define Chicken Drop, a Pragmatic Play video slot. This page explains each round, the payouts and the bonus modes.

Chicken Drop

Symbols that link, not lines: Chicken Drop

A 7x7 grid carries the farm theme of Chicken Drop, and no paylines decide the win. A cluster of at least 4 matching symbols that connect horizontally or vertically pays. After every win, the Tumble Feature removes the winning symbols and new ones drop in. The symbols are strawberries, blueberries, corn, acorns, mushrooms, spade and heart card-suit icons, and the BONUS treasure chest.

Four, five or six BONUS chests anywhere on the grid start the Free Spins with 10, 15 or 20 spins. Three or more chests during the round add 5 spins each time, with no limit. Size and multiplier upgrades carry over for the whole round, and at least one egg drops on every free spin. The feature list also names Symbol Transform and Progressive Multiplier.

Round guide

Bet size, clusters, tumbles and egg drops

A$0.20 to A$240 per spin, and the order of every step from bet to session end.

  1. Starting small, going big

A$0.20 is the lowest bet and A$240 the highest, so each spin can start small or large. The total bet you pick sets the money value of each win.

  2. Chicken Drop: symbols fall again

7x7 grid: symbols that touch horizontally or vertically form a cluster, and a cluster pays once it is big enough. After each win, symbols vanish and new ones tumble down.

  3. One win, then another

7x7 grid, and each win triggers a Tumble, so one spin can chain several wins. Progressive Multiplier, Symbol Transform, Scatter and Retrigger are also part of this game's feature set.

  4. From 10 spins to 20

4, 5 or 6 BONUS chests anywhere on the grid start Free Spins of 10, 15 or 20. Three or more chests during the round add 5 spins, with no limit.

  5. Budget set before any spin

A$240 is the largest bet allowed, so the bet you pick sets how fast a budget runs out. Decide your budget before the first spin and stop once it is gone.

Chest bonus, upgrades kept all round

4, 5 or 6 BONUS symbols anywhere on the grid award 10, 15 or 20 Free Spins. 3 or more BONUS symbols during the round add 5 spins, with no limit. At least 1 egg drop is guaranteed on each free spin, and size and multiplier upgrades persist all round.

Which Setting Runs Here?

A$100 staked is the base for each return to player figure, the average share paid back over many rounds. The version this lobby runs is listed in the game rules.

Read the RTP in the game rules first

4, 5 or 6 BONUS chests anywhere on the 7x7 grid start the Free Spins round, but no one can tell in advance how often that happens. The bonus does not follow a schedule, and a long dry spell does not make it due. The result of one session is random whatever the RTP is, so the 96.50 or 96.53 version promises nothing for a single visit.

96.50 and 96.53 are the two RTP versions of Chicken Drop, and only the game rules show which of them is running. The rules are the place to check before the first spin. Figures from a lobby card or a review do not replace them. Each version describes a long run of bets, not one session.

x5,000 times the bet is the maximum win of Chicken Drop, and it is a ceiling reached very rarely. At A$5 that is A$25,000, and at the top bet of A$240 the same multiplier pays A$1,200,000. Few sessions get near that figure, and no one can say in advance which one will.

Chicken Drop is no reason to play on

Players must be 18+. For help in Australia, call the National Gambling Helpline on 1800 858 858, or register with BetStop, the national self-exclusion register.

Budget before the first spin

Set a session budget before the first spin, and keep to it even when the balance looks high.

Chicken Drop stop after wins

Decide before you start how long you will play and when you will stop, including after a big win. A win does not change the plan you set.

Before a losing run starts

Use the deposit and loss limits in your account before you open a session. Set them once, so a losing run meets the limit you chose.

If the game stops being fun, take a break or self-exclude. A pause is always an option, even in the middle of a session.

Clear answers, no guesswork

How do the free spins start in Chicken Drop?

Most readers worry about the top win and the real cost of a bonus before they spin.

How much does Chicken Drop buy free spins cost?

Yes, Chicken Drop has Buy Free Spins. It costs 100 times the total bet, which is A$500 at a A$5 bet. The purchase starts the Free Spins round at once, and the spin count is drawn at that moment.

What is the maximum win in Chicken Drop?

The maximum win is x5,000 times the bet. At the A$5 example bet that means A$25,000. At the highest bet allowed, A$240, the top win reaches A$1,200,000.

How do you trigger free spins in Chicken Drop?

Four, five or six BONUS chest symbols anywhere on the grid trigger the Free Spins round. They award 10, 15 or 20 spins. During the round, three or more BONUS symbols add 5 spins, and retriggers have no limit.

What bets can I place on Chicken Drop?

The minimum bet is A$0.20 and the highest bet allowed is A$240. The paytable uses A$0.20 as its base, and A$2 and A$5 appear as examples on this page.

How volatile is Chicken Drop, high or low?

Chicken Drop has high volatility, which means results vary widely from spin to spin. How often the bonus or a large win comes cannot be known in advance. Set your stake with that in mind.

What is the RTP of Chicken Drop and its versions?

Two RTP versions exist: 96.50% and 96.53%. RTP is the return over a very long run, so A$100 staked returns about A$96.50 or A$96.53 on average. It says nothing about the result of one session.
